Joseph Morgan Previews The Originals' "Terrifying" Return and Weighs in on Klaus and Caroline's Hookup

"It's certainly more terrifying."
Don't turn off the lights before sitting down to watch tonight's episode of The Originals, its first new episode since taking a seat on the bench for the Olympics. (Boo sports!)
But be careful what you wish for as the CW hit will not be taking it easy on our favorite family of vampires, as Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) are being tortured by the vengeful witch Genevieve (Elyse Levesque). "It's slightly different to anything we've seen before. It's certainly not for the faint of heart" Joseph Morgan tells E! News of "Long Way Back From Hell."
But the torture just won't be physical as the devastating secret Rebekah and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) have been keeping from Klaus (they brought his father to New Orleans to kill him) will have a major impact on the Mikaelson family in the next three episodes.

"The next three episodes are all kind of part of the same story and trying to resolve the issue of this secret that was kept by Marcel and Rebekah from me, from Klaus," Morgan previews. "I felt like they're the best episodes we've done. We're just really finding our tone now and it's becoming a little more of a frightening show I think, which is good, because these are frightening creatures."
So what makes this betrayal by Rebekah so much worse than the other times she's conspired against him?
"We're talking about a hundred years of lying, which is quite big," Morgan explains. "It's also because it involves they're father, I think it has more weight to it, you know. It's very, very personal, this secret. So that's what gives it more weight." More at
